If you happened to get the sale email from the Sharps Rifle Company earlier this week, you may have seen in their store that SRC Arms is now offering the 70 Grain Sierra BlitzKing in factory ammo for the 25-45 Sharps. The Sierra BlitzKing bullets are very popular with hunters, due to their inherent accuracy and explosive performance on varmints and predators.
We here at AR15 Hunter received some of this ammunition before our trip to Northern Arizona for prairie dog hunting, so we were able to test it at the range and in the field. Our real-world results were documented on video, with many of our shots on varmints being over 200 yards. We will have a full review, with hunt report, the end of next week. We will also be using it on predators soon, if the weather cooperates and cools down. This is great news for folks who shoot the .25-45 Sharps, and want to hunt varmints with a bullet that shoots flatter than the current 87 grain Hot-Cor bullet loading.
This ammunition is available for pre-order on the Sharps Rifle Company website/store.
